Meet the mobile cobot at Sirris!

With the arrival of the KMR iiwa at our branch in Diepenbeek, Sirris has recently added a cobot 'with arms and legs', again a first for Belgium! This cobot is (temporarily) at the disposal of our experts for the purposes of discovering its potential and for interested companies to test it.

The production of the future requires concepts that are intelligent, modular, versatile and mobile. Production processes are constantly changing. Mobile robot systems must be able to adapt themselves better to this. The KMR iiwa combines the strengths of a sensitive, lightweight cobot - the LBR iiwa - with a mobile, autonomous platform. So to say, it's the combination of a robot arm with an automated guided vehicle or AGV.

Ready for Industry 4.0

The cobot may be safely sent to any desired location on the work floor and with an accuracy of approx. 1 mm. The AGV on which the cobot is mounted is able to detect moving parts, move around freely and connect loose production islands to each other to make flexible new production units. Its maximum mobility, precision and autonomy can significantly optimize your production and make it extremely suitable to meet the requirements of Industry 4.0.

Demo

In the coming months the first MBR iiwa in Belgium will be available to our experts and interested companies in our machine shop in Diepenbeek. Sirris will be setting up a demo in order to fully understand and map out the potential and limitations of this mobile cobot. Using the knowledge we acquire, we will be in an optimum position to guide companies who wish to acquaint themselves with the KMR iiwa.
