Etalon introduces solutions for measuring machine precision

Along with the manufacturer Etalon, Sirris is organizing a workshop on precision machining on 15 October.  The presentation includes equipment for the purpose of determining the volumetric accuracy of a milling machine. The event comprises both a theoretical part, as well as a demonstration and explanation of the service.

The solutions from the German manufacturer of metrology systems Etalon, can be used in a short time to determine all possible deviations in machine shafts with the highest precision. This by means of following the movements of the machine using the LaserTRACER and calculating the deviations via patented methods. The high accuracy can be achieved through an interferometric displacement measurement. The solution is also used to calibrate. high precision measurement machines. The interferometer has a resolution of 1 nm at a maximum range of 15 m. The LaserTRACER-MT can also be used: with its measuring range of 260-940 mm, this one is optimal for machines with small to medium sized volumes. The software automatically generates the compensation data that can be copied to the CNC control. The volumetric accuracy generally increases exponentially.

The workshop, which takes place in Diepenbeek, is organized in as part of a project on precision production for the manufacturing industry. Besides the theoretical part, you can also attend a demonstration on Sirris’s Fehlmann precision milling machine. During the presentation, you will also receive explanations about the services Sirris offers around the theme of ‘machining accuracy and precision manufacturing’.
